LastShelf
About

We’re building the calm place families turn to.

LastShelf started with a simple observation: in most households, one person knows where the important things are. The documents, the passwords, the insurance details, the advisors, the bills that cannot be missed.

That works until a medical emergency or death turns ordinary details into urgent questions. Where is the directive? Who is the insurance contact? Which accounts matter? What needs to be paid first?

So we’re building the shelf for documents, contacts, account access, and critical bills. Prepared by you. Organized with care. Usable by someone you trust when they need it most.

Principles

  • Clarity over clutter. Every screen should help someone understand what matters and what to do next.
  • Sensitive by default. This is family, financial, legal, and medical information. We treat it that way.
  • Tell, don’t do. We surface what needs attention and notify humans. We don’t auto-pay or move money.
  • You stay in control. You own your data. Trusted contacts are limited helpers, not co-owners.
